A roofline is one of the most important features on a property, and it has various different components. They include:
Fascias and Soffits are two key components to anyone’s home. They can also go by the name of “Trim components” and they are essential as they help your home function and breathe. Most of our customers don’t know what they are until they need repairing and by then, it could be too late. The most common problems that occur with fascias and soffits is moisture build-up, pests, and potentially wood rot. These cannot be overlooked or brushed to the side, they can be critical to the ventilation of your home and if problems are ignored, however small, they can grow to be a much bigger issue.
Most homeowners forget about their gutters and their importance to their property, therefore neglecting their importance. The gutters of your home are vital for controlling the water that gathers on your roof, transporting through the tubes and delivering it to the correct areas outside your home such as draining grids. They must be regularly cleaned to avoid build up of leaves and other forms of debris blocking the pipes. If simple maintenance and cleaning is ignored, the build up can cause water to pool on your roof and potentially seep into the roof causing costly damage.
Bargeboards are located at the side of a roof and they are pivotal to a property’s function as they protect the timbers of the roof all the while being significant to the aesthetics of the entire building. These boards can be made out of four different materials including timber, metal, plastic, and UPVC.
All of these components need to be working in order for your roofline to be performing at its best. Repairs must be done to your roofline in order to stop any potential damage occurring and, in some cases, becoming irreversible.
